Automotive Engineering

Program Summary

The Automotive Engineering major was launched in 1990 as the first major in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Its goals focused on providing the necessary engineering cadres capable of dealing with all advanced mechanical and technological systems in accordance with the engineering standards in force in developed countries.

This comes in response to the need of the local market, as the use of specialized engineers in the various branches of mechanical engineering became necessary to support the industry.

Specialization objectives:

• Graduating scientifically, culturally and ethically qualified engineers to play a major role in raising the level of engineering professions in their field of specialization in particular, and raising the social and technical level at the national level.

• To provide students with all basic sciences in mechanical and specialist engineering in automotive engineering.

• Qualifying students to design and analyze mechanical and thermal systems using appropriate engineering principles.

• Qualifying students with the necessary skills to implement projects within a dedicated and homogeneous team.

• Providing students with the necessary skills for communication, self-development and scientific research.
