Communication Arts

Program Summary

A bachelor's degree in Communication Arts will prepare students to be competent communicators in today's diverse and evolving business, professional, and academic fields. Communication Arts has a variety of emphases through which a student can follow interests, develop abilities, and channel talents. Each area of study will enhance students’ critical thinking, communication, and field-specific technology skills. Studies include hands-on media and communication activities.

The Communication Arts majorwill allow students to:

Acquire knowledge of the principles and theories underlying the study of communication and assess the appropriate application of these theories

Realize the power that words and images can have in shaping understandings of the world, and commit to using them for the good
