Ergotherapy

Program Summary

According to the American Occupational Therapy Association, Ergotherapy is “skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all aspects of their lives.

Ergotherapy assists people in developing the skills for the job of living necessary for independent and satisfying lives.”

The Ergotherapy Program will provide students with an education based on the basic principles of ergotherapy that will equip them with a mastery of its concepts and theory.

The curriculum has been designed in a manner to allow students to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge they acquire in the fields of health, education and the workplace.

The aim of the program is to educate ergotherapists who are knowledgeable in the fields of basic medicine, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and ergotherapy; who will assist patients to become healthy and functionally independent in every aspect of life; and who have acquired skills in the clinical application of ergotherapy along with abilities as researchers and administrators.
