Program Summary

Curriculum The MSc in Industrial Engineering aims to provide students with computing, quantitative and analytical, application and preparation skills for entrepreneurs, problem solving, effective decision makers, and change agents in a competitive business environment or potential scientists in academia. The program focuses on production and service systems, integrated supply chain management manufacturing, product development process, modeling and analysis of manufacturing and equipment processes, biomanufacturing and additive manufacturing (3D printing), modeling and process analysis, equipment manufacturing and process research approaches for telecommunications and energy systems.

Industrial Engineering is a diverse discipline concerned with planning, designing, implementing, improving and managing complex production systems of people, materials and equipment for all types of manufacturing and service operations as well as integrating computers, information and technology to operate and controlling these complex systems.

The graduate curriculum in Industrial Engineering is designed to provide students with computing, quantitative, analytical skills and applications and their preparation and entrepreneurs, problem solving, effective decision makers, and change agents in a competitive business environment or potential scholars in academics. The program focuses on production and service systems, integrated manufacturing and supply chain management, product development process, modeling and process analysis, equipment manufacturing and process research approaches for communications and energy systems. Students are encouraged to interact with other majors to improve their communication skills, and to be able to work in complex scientific and technical environments throughout their careers. The focus is on close cooperation with the industry. Prospective students are expected to be a solid foundation in mathematics, natural sciences and engineering. Students who do not have sufficient background in the core fields are required to obtain university-level courses.
