Migration Studies

Program Summary

Migration studies is that branch of science that monitors population movements across different geographical regions within a country (internal migration) as well as their migration across international borders (external migration) and monitors the numbers, trends and flows of cross-border migration and a study of its causes and consequences, both for the migrant and his family or the country of origin Or the receiving country.

This branch of science means to study expatriate communities and the extent of their integration into their new societies.

In economic terms, this branch of science studies remittances and their effects on the family and society and how they are sent and invested.
