After the establishment of the modern Turkish Republic in 1923, its president, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founded the Turkish Language Association, bringing together historians and linguists, with the aim of refining the language from Arabic and Persian words and launching the modern Turkish language to retrieve the largest possible number of the words of the old Turkish language, and replaced Arabic letters with Latin letters.

Today, the Turkish language consists of old Turkish and some Arabic words in addition to Persian, French and Italian, all of which are written in Latin letters, which is a language used in Cyprus, Kosovo and some regions of Macedonia; This is in addition to being the official language in Turkey.
