Program Summary

The program works on preparing a generation of distinguished researchers in the field of political science and international relations in its various branches (international relations, comparative politics, and political theory).

This includes deepening students' understanding of the mothers of the issues addressed by specialization in its various branches, raising awareness of them about the most important problems and theoretical records it presents, and developing intellectual and research capabilities in dealing with these issues and their imperial implications. It also includes enhancing the research, critical writing and political analysis skills of students in a manner that qualifies them to work in the academic research field or various practical fields.

The courses of the program seek to link its central issues with the most important theoretical and empirical records, in view of the associated fields and other disciplines of knowledge; Such as sociology, history, philosophy, economics and media, in light of the overlap between these different disciplines. The program also offers elective courses that embody the integration and interdisciplinary intercourse of students of other programs.

The program is characterized by adopting a policy rethink from a critical perspective; In order to contribute to the development of the epistemological structure of this field, by testing his main arguments and questioning his theoretical assumptions in his various branches. It is also distinguished by its endeavor to deepen students' knowledge of the most important problematic political issues in the Arab world, and to test the applicability of Western theories and concepts to the Arab situation. This is evident in the treatment of its decisions by current important issues; Such as revolutions, democratization issues and globalization.
