Forensic Science

Program Summary

Forensic science is the branch of science and medicine that includes the study and application of scientific and medical knowledge of legal problems, such as investigations in the field of law.

Forensic science is mainly achieved in examining and evaluating individuals who have been injured, or suspected to have been injured or killed due to external influence such as trauma or poisoning, and also for individuals suspected of having another person.

This means that not only crime victims and suspects are examined, but suicide bombers and accidental deaths by a forensic specialist.

Individuals with non-fatal injuries after injuries or intentional self-poisoning, usually treated exclusively within the health care system in many countries, examine forensic medicine a medical specialty within the legal system, not within the health care system.

Since modern medicine is a legal innovation organized by the state, medical conditions involving death, rape, parenting, etc. require a forensic practitioner to provide evidence and appear as an expert witness.

Forensic medicine is concerned with a wide range of medical, legal and ethical issues, as well as human and individual rights, and it is the duty of physicians working in this field to act in the best interest of their patients and to accuse them in a court of law if they do not.

The doctor may be asked to act on behalf of other parties if his patient presents a danger to others. Failure to do so may result in legal action against the doctor.
