Program Summary

Many researchers in media and communication sciences confuse the terms media and communication. Some of them are biased to a term at the expense of the other, as Faruq Abu Zayd defined communication as the process of transmitting ideas, opinions and information within a society, while the media defined it as a media product, i.e. data, news, ideas and other contents. And the outputs of the means of communication, while Izzat Hijab defined the media as one of the branches of communication, so communication is more general and comprehensive, and the media was defined as the media process that starts from the news story and the knowledge of information worthy of follow-up and publication, then it passes through stages: collecting information from the source and transferring it, dealing with the information and editing it , Publishing and launching it through one of the means of communication, be it press or radio or television, and thus an introduction to the fields of work specializing in media, communication and press.
