Islamic Studies

Program Summary

The Islamic Studies major represents one of the most important university majors, and it specializes in studying the principles of the Islamic faith and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. This specialization includes many branches including the study of the Holy Quran, interpretation, hadith, monotheism, jurisprudence, its origins, statutes, and the Arabic language And others.

The goal of the Islamic Studies majoring in universities:

• Working to establish the correct Islamic belief and document the relationship of Muslim generations to the basic sources of Islam, improve the skill of good dealing with them, and create a specific scientific environment for learning, teaching and producing specialized research.

• Trying to advance the outputs of educational programs in the department of knowledge, skills and orientations and work to employ them well, and introduce the foundations of Islamic civilization and work to clarify the characteristics of Islamic legislation in the field of family, society, politics and economics.

• Working on graduating students specialized in Islamic studies in order to meet the needs of the local community, while ensuring that they are able to use knowledge to advance the social and cultural realities of the Islamic nation.

• Clarifying the position of the predecessor of the Islamic nation and maximizing their position in the hearts of graduates, in addition to working to establish a partnership with local community institutions in order to cooperate in the implementation of projects of common interest.

• Providing graduates with the necessary knowledge regarding revelation, doctrinal studies, contemporary doctrines and jurisprudence studies, and providing the necessary opportunities for distinguished individuals of the Islamic nation to join the department in order to meet some of their needs.
