International Political Economy

Program Summary

International political economy is defined as the study of international production and trade and its connection with government policies and international law, as well as a study and use of the influence of economic theory and methods and the development of various social and economic systems, such as:

• Capitalism.

• Socialism.

• Communism.

It also analyzes how public policy is created and implemented, and since many individuals and groups have different interests in how a country or economy develops, political economy as a field is a complex field that covers a wide range of international interests, and political economy also includes the use of the theory of political maneuvering. And economic, given that the competing groups - the Group of Eight countries - for limited resources and for the authority to determine which of the courses of action will give the most beneficial results, and what is the probability of reaching those results.
