Cancer biology and pharmacology

Program Summary

The specialty of Cancer Biology and Pharmacology is one of the four tracks granting a Master’s degree in Biology and Health.

The training program focuses mainly on research with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches to studying cancer.

The program includes a two-month research training period during the first year and a five-month research training period in laboratories during the second year. Students learn the basic foundations and emerging areas of cancer, from the molecular and biological cells of cancer to transitional and clinical research. They benefit from open access to new technological tools and a diagnostic and therapeutic teaching method.

The program covers the basic molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive the process of reproduction, the complex cellular and molecular networks interacting with the micro-tumor environment that dictate the development of cancer and metastatic proliferation, the clinical aspects of cancer pathology and therapeutic possibilities.

The development of critical analysis and creative skills that must be applied in visualizing new research proposals, access to and treatment of experimental research and literature research are also important elements of the program.
