NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

Program Summary

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is a university program that graduates nutritionists after eight semesters. Dietetics is a profession whose members better understand food and nutrition, research the health problems caused by food and nutrition and ensure that food sources are used according to health and hygiene standards. It is also the only profession authorized to inform the public, create awareness, plan specific diets for various diseases, medical and operational treatments as necessary, and educate, implement, and monitor.

The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program consists of core topics such as anatomy, physiology, principles of nutrition, biochemistry of nutrition, maternal and child nutrition, group feeding systems, aging nutrition, diet applications, athlete nutrition, and nutrition control. It also aims to provide a multidisciplinary education with a choice of elective courses offered throughout the undergraduate program.
