Yeditepe University

Yeditepe University was founded in 1996 and is one of the most powerful private universities in Istanbul.

Yeditepe University is located in Ataşehir, in the Asian part of Istanbul.

Faculty members follow all modern and innovative methods, and an evolving educational approach; In addition to its technological infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and workshops, TED University provides its students with career experience before graduation, thus preparing them for the future.

The university depends on its approach on innovative and unique educational methods as it revolves around the student with a balance in focusing on the depth and breadth of the knowledge provided, it is a young and dynamic university with a vision to provide the best educational experience for its students and to be one of the leading universities in Turkey.

It offers an integrated system of higher education and practical experience and focuses on the student through academically rigorous coursework, dynamic teaching, meaningful research, and the myriad of opportunities for students to engage with society locally and abroad, as it seeks to build a diverse community of educated and disassociated students With social and scientific responsibility at the global level.

The university has student exchange programs such as the Erasmus program which gives students the opportunity to study for a year or semester in any university of the European Union, and the Farabi program for Turkey and many countries of the world including Canada, America, and Australia.

The university includes in its academic structure 13 faculties, a school of foreign languages, and a vocational teaching institute. English is used as the teaching language for most disciplines.

Summer School

Summer school education is not compulsory at Yeditepe University. This service is provided for students to complete their education in a shorter period of time and to start their career earlier. Full scholarship students are not charged any tuition fee for summer school. Students who receive 50 % scholarship pay for 50 % of the summer school tuition fee, and students with 25% scholarship pay for 75 % of the summer school tuition fee. Nonscholarship students pay the total tuition fee for the summer school.

University Clubs

Yeditepe University established students clubs/societies for students to be actively involved in democratic, social, cultural, artistic, sportive activities and to equally and regularly benefit from the opportunities provided by the University.

Double Major

The University provides students with the opportunity of getting a second undergraduate degree (double major) or gaining knowledge at a specific field (minor program) as a student at a different program in addition to their undergraduate programs. Students who meet the requirements and wish to pursue a double major can apply to the dean's office at the concerned faculty in their third term earliest, and in their fifth term the latest. The application period for the students who wish to do a minor is not earlier than their third term.

Accommodation

The halls of residence, which are conveniently located at the center of İstanbul in Ataşehir whıch ıs one of the beautiful areas compared to other Turkish Universities, have a capacity of 4.250 people. While you can pursue your University education over a 123.000 m2 fully-equipped campus field, you can benefit from the hall of residence opportunities on our campus.

The rooms in the hall of residences are mostly for two people. The rooms include a bathroom, a mini-fridge, a private deck, a chair, glass bookshelves, a wardrobe with a mirror, and other furniture made of nonflammable material. Additionally, 24 hours internet connection is available.

Students who accommodate the hall of residence can benefit from the 24-hour uninterrupted Knowledge Center and Social Facilities which include, a restaurant, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, a squash center, and a sauna.

Students Exchange Program(Erasmus)

Yeditepe students have the opportunity to experience 1 or 2 semesters at a partner institution. A "partner school" can either be within the framework of Erasmus + (European Countries) or with a school that has signed an agreement of cooperation or Student Exchange Agreement - SEA (Non-European Countries) with us. Erasmus+ allows the student to spend a training period between 2 months to 12 months in program countries within traineeship mobility.
